Next Sunday May 8th at 11 AM, the Astronomical Society of Terrassa (AST) has prepared a surprise performance for all audiences: a theatre play set in the Modernism Fair of Terrassa, in which famous astronomers of the 1920s will talk about the Universe, its nature and composition, parting from the knowledge of the time.

The play will count with the participation of a number of illustrious actors, among which there is Jordi Miralda, scientific director of the Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the University of Barcelona (ICCUB-IEEC) and vice-president of the Astronomical Society of Terrassa.

After the performance, AST will hold a debate on how our vision of the Universe has changed from then until present and there will also be a celebration of the scientific discoveries with sparkling wine for all the attendees in epoch costumes.

Once the ceremony is over, there is a Solar observation programmed at the MNACTEC Solar Terrace. Using telescopes and with the proper filters, we will make observations of the Sun, which is at a peak of activity at present, giving the opportunity to the audience to witness its spots and flares.
