Is there life on other planets in our solar system? The director of the Institute of Cosmos Sciences (ICCUB-IEEC), Xavi Luri, poses this question in the talk "Life in the solar system" that he will offer next Monday, November 14, at the Monlau Studies Centre.

This talk is part of the TOC-TOC scientific outreach program of the Unit of Scientific Culture and Innovation of the University of Barcelona, ​​which aims to facilitate communication between the UB and the different social agents interested in the research carried out at the University. The participating researchers offer outreach talks in which they explain their research in a clear and understandable way. All of them - each from their area of ​​knowledge - share the objective of bringing their work closer to society.

In this talk, we will review the characteristics of the different planets and satellites of the solar system to analyse the possibility of life.

TOC-TOC program

TOC-TOC is the onomatopoeia that refers to the noise we hear when someone knocks on a door. Well, this project aims to facilitate communication between the UB and the various social agents interested in the research carried out at the University. The participating researchers offer informative talks in which they explain their work in a clear and understandable way. All of them - each from their area of ​​knowledge - share the objective of bringing their work closer to society.
