ICCUB researchers Edgar Molina and Óscar Jiménez are organizing an activity that consists in two solar observations with an H-alpha filter to celebrate Science Week 2021.

SOLAR OBSERVATION IN H-ALPHA

In physics and astronomy, H-alpha or Hα is a red spectral line created by hydrogen and with a wavelenght of 6562,8 Å. In this activity, we will have the chance to observe the emission spectrum of our star in this wavelenght.

When? There will be two sessions, one on Tuesday, November 16, and the other on Thursdau, November 18. Both sessions will start at 10 am and end at 1 pm.

Where? In front of the Àrea de Seveis a la Persona, Sant Joan Despí

Aimed at First year highschool students of Sant Joan Despí
